Providing Public Input

As part of the public involvement process, WYDOT will host an open house public scoping meeting on January 29, 2026 to provide an opportunity for WYDOT to gather scoping comments to inform the preparation of an EA for the High Plains Road Extension Project. The meeting will be open to the public and free to attend. Representatives from WYDOT and FHWA's third-party NEPA contractor will be on hand to provide information on the proposed action and the EA process. The public is invited to provide oral or written comments at the meeting regarding the scope of the EA.

WYDOT welcomes written comments on the scope of the proposed Project via e-mail, US mail, and hand delivery service throughout the public scoping period (January 7 through February 4, 2026). The public will be invited to participate in review of the Draft EA later in 2026.
